A respected and revered bassist on the New York scene since the
50's, Pate has performed with such musical luminaries as Sonny
Rollins, Roy Haynes, Yusef Lateef, Ravi Coltrane, Jeff "Tain" Watts,
Gil Evans and Paul Shaffer (of The Letterman Show). Most recently
he has recorded on Anami Records with Brooklyn guitarist Tisziji Munoz.
Turning the Don Pate Trio, into a quartet this New Year’s Eve, the
trio adds Canada’s preeminent jazz trumpeter, Brownman to the
line-up. This special New Year's Eve ensemble will consist of DON
PATE accompanied by former drummer for Chaka Khan  and the 
pioneer of Acid Jazz, VICTOR JONES; mentor of R&B superstar 
Alicia Keys and creator of Jazzoetry, AZIZA MILLER; and Canada's
own Trinidadian born multi-award winning jazz trumpet icon, BROWNMAN.
