Studio is proud to announce the full lineup for our first-ever Women's
Month -- a full month of visionary music and arts programming featuring
all women headline artists! This initiative represents the first
of its kind for a Toronto jazz club.
Just
a taste of what's coming during Women's Month in Toronto's live souljazz
kitchen: Brazilian stylings from Hannah Burgé with special guest
Hendrik Meurkens; the sublime folk-jazz of Crabtree & Mills (July 5),
two spectacular African diva nights with The Snow Griots Band (July 8 &
15), a tribute to our inspiration John Coltrane to mark 40 years since
his passing with Roselyn Brown (July 26), the funky-swinging Juno nominees
Elizabeth Shepherd Trio (July 28); and longtime Trane favourites such as
Julie Michels ( July 7), Yvonne Moore (July 14) and Sharron
McLeod
(July 27).
